What command did you type in exactly? Do you use any plugins?

Only plugin updates are being fetched automatically, mod packs and mods have to be updated manually as there's no central place where we could fetch their updates automatically. I can only ask to be patient.

Make sure not to overload your server, e.g. do not generate too many chunks and don't build large mob farms or redstone machines.

Yes. The server log says everything in this case.

How to write a (good) plugin/modpack/mod request

If you checked the server log you would know there is a problem with your world preventing your server from starting. To fix the problem, download your world, remove the players directory and then upload your world again. Eventually you will be able to start your server again. Here is the error message by the way:

Make sure your server is set to online mode "Premium" for skins to work.

There are a lot of free plugins too. The problem is BungeeCord itself, it's technically very difficult to add it to Aternos and not worth the effort.

Check the server log for detailed error information.

How to write a (good) plugin/modpack/mod request

You can only download and upload the main world, but you can create multiple worlds on the server directly using Multiverse-Core. For Multiverse-Core the command would be /mv create.
