So I had an Aternos server and Forge was installed (since I had a bunch of mods), it was version 1.16.4 last time I played it, but now whenever I try to update it to 1.19, it removes all of my files. My friend and I played on this world all the time, is there any way I can update it to the newest version of Minecraft? Or will we just have to play on 1.16.4 ╯︿╰

You can't update the world to the newest version

Using modded worlds on different versions can break a lot of things.
If you really want to try it then download your world, change the version and upload the world again
