    Hi!

    I was looking for a free hosting server and aternos :aternos: poped-up, and I clicked. I saw it very smooth and good for free hosting service. I like your servers but I wanna build myself one because I need it to start when a player joins.

    But I will keep aternos in mind, and use it for casual gaming sessions. I saw some posts with aternos specs from 2017. But I'm surely that that info is outdated. I will be glad if you can tell me aternos specs, and maybe your specs will help me build my server :) !!

    well, specs are how good the computer is of the server. basically specs are how beefy you want the server to be. specs are about the computer and not the server, so the posts in 2017 will probably work fine

    now from what I saw last time they run multiple minecraft servers in one server to reduce the amount of cost (correct me if I'm wrong) But anyway let me tell you anyway. They use an Intel i7/Xeon processors for their servers and the ram for each server is limited is 2 GB and each server is limited to 10 GB of storage


    here I will put it into specs instead of a sentence

    RAM: 2GB of ram

    CPU: Intel i7/Xeon processors

    That thread doesn't tell you that the RAM is limited to 2GB and also doesn't mention about the storage size.

    No, that was about 6 years ago.

    Aternos uses dozens of different CPU models now. We can't just name a single model.

    No and no.

    The RAM depends on which server software and version you use. Some of them get more than 2.5GB. You can check the RAM assigned to your server on the server page when your server is online.

    The server storage size limit is 4GB in compressed size, not 10GB.

    Aternos has a paid service for that, https://exaroton.com, if you are willing to pay for that feature.

    It's very cheap, as long as you don't run the server 24/7. exaroton isn't meant to be running your server 24/7.
