AM i allowed to add people to the whitelist remotely if they still have to turn it on manually?

    I wish to create a script that just adds a persons aternos username and minecraft username to the access and whitelist of the server, however before i do this i wish to make sure this is allowed? To clarify, its just adding them to the access, they still have to go to aternos to turn on the server themself.
