I am new to aternos and I just found out how to get plugins but when I download plugins they will not be active or visible to the server or website. also my server is on Bukkit 1.11.2.

can you share some error here? Check your console log maybe the plugin is not loaded and its BROKEN

Start your server again, a new log will be generated. If a plugin doesn't work error messages should appear in the log. These error messages usually tell you what to do to fix the problem.
Most likely you just installed the wrong version or misconfigured the plugin. Also make sure you did install CraftBukkit or Spigot as server software.
