so i tried to play pixelspark today with my friend and we kept getting a mod rejection error: Mod rejections [FMLMod:pixelmon{5.1.4}] any idea how to fix this? we installed the pack properly and its the latest version

Maybe the mod is outdated, and also make sure your version of your mod and in your server is the same.

Which version of the modpack is currently installed on your client
Also please update your technic launcher.

The modpack available on Aternos is exactly the version provided by the author on the official site, so I assume he did a mistake here.
