If you have a server with a modpack, the version will be automatically updated. The thing is that you can't manually update to another version so if you want to play another stable/older/different version you can't. And also, you cant even see wich version is the server's modpack on, so you have to figure out what version to play. Maybe the last version is not stable and you can't play on it because of bugs or other inconvenientions, and if you want to play on a much more stable version you can't and you will have to wait to a newer version or even worse: you won't be able to play anymore because the developers won't update the modpack anymore.
This feature should be added because it would only give positive things and would make aternos much better.

The current modpack system doesn't allow that. The server files aren't stored individually for each server. This has already been suggested before so please use the search feature
With our current implementation of the modpack system, this is not really possible. This will probably possible if we rework the modpack system somewhere in the future, but there are currently no plans to do so.
