adding Domain or Editing Existing Domain Doesn't Wipes Data or Any Work.
If You Did And The Data Wiped Then Tell me I'll Help You To Rebuild.

Don't worry creating domian/subdomian won't harm your server you will just add diffirent ip to let players connect to your server. you can try to make custom server ip from https://ramshard.com/subdomain/creator
