  • Hey Aternos-Team

    1. Well about the world.. sometimes the players tried to upload the world in their server. But they accidently upload in a wrong world.

So, can you guys add the Confirm and Cancel button before uploading and a Cancel button when they accidently upload a world in their server?

    2. You guys are the best when adding a Backup mode. But i think it is better if there are Download Backup and Upload button in that. Sometimes the player may using a wrong backup, and the new backup they use were deleted. So, what i am talking about is adding a feature that the player can download a backup to their Desktop. So next time they reset the server, they can put their backup to their server again instead of Google Drive

For example a backup file should be like: "My Backup.aternos" (Make sure that the file should don't let the player see what's inside like: Plugin, config, worlds)

I hope you can do these things in the next feature 😊. Thx

We'll discuss that in our next team meeting.

With google you can create as much backups as you want, and you also don't have to delete backups(Out of you're running out of space). Also you can name them as you want.

As you maybe know the world upload does not work if the world archive is corrupted, the user uses an unsupported browser etc.

These problems would be the same with a downloadable backup.

With google we have a working solution which is not dependent on browsers etc.

Also we have a upload limit of 200 mb, which we are not able to raise for known reasons.

Sometimes peoples worlds are larger than 200mb, in case of a backup the complete server (all server files, plugins, configs + worlds) is stored in that backup. So it's very common that the backup is larger than 200mb and therefor not uploadable.

Another point is that we don't really want that people are able to access the backup files directly. That's why we've choosen the google app data system to store our files as people only see how much data it contains, but are not able to access it. (You can of course delete our data which is saved on your google account directly in the google drive dashboard)

i don't like google drive "back upping" because it doesn't have "do not track"

What should google track what you don't want google to track?

With the new google drive backup feature you can also create backups manually.

Just create a backup before reinstalling the server.

You can create a backup here: https://aternos.org/backups/

Click on create a backup and a backup will be created, lol ;)
