I'm new to the server and plugins but i followed the tutorial step by step. However, whenever i go to the 'files' option after i've downloaded a plugin it says 'file not found' with a home icon and the word plugins. please help, i'm very confused

You need to install Bukkit or Spigot software. Go https://aternos.org/software and do it
