suggestion for faster server starting (in the long run)

    dear aternos

    i believe that your server running is great free as it is, and i wouldnt do a thing to change this. what i believe you could add though, is a costing version of the server that runs with a self assembled modpack. you might do this through a premium account. i know youll probably say 'we want to keep it free', but from what i can see, the waiting time to start the server is so long that its no fun anyway for all the people i know who play. my suggestion will let you pay for better server running hardware and equipment to help with a fast, free way of running a server. also, your ad revenue will go up, due to there probably being more customers cuing up for the best server runners EVER. pls take into consideration, and please dont make already existing stuff cost, because that would start becoming dumb.     Short Answer:

    No we won't add anything that you can pay for.


    Long Answer:

    The Aternos-Team made a fundamental decision a few years ago, in which it was decided that Aternos is a free service where it is not possible to be better off than other people through purchases.


    This attitude is very important to us and in some ways reflects our intention. Moreover, this is one of the biggest differences from our competitors.


    This attitude will never change.


    It's that most people who want something like a paid Aternos are the ones who are annoyed by the queue. (Who would have thought that, lol)


    How do we combine the wish of those who would like to have the queue shorter (and would even pay money for it) with our attitude that nothing can be paid with us.


    Quite simply: We try to shorten the queue for everyone.


    We can only achieve this by setting up more and more servers and increasing our capacities.

    Especially in the last months (tendency rising) we have constantly set up new servers and increased our capacities, and we will continue to do so.

    We don't need extra money to buy good, high-quality server hardware. We can do this with the income we generate through advertising.

    Even if we introduced a payment function, the part we would take over it would be so small that it would not be noticeable at all.

    This is simply because our target group is exactly those people who cannot buy a server.
