Why Was My Thread Closed?

So i had made a mod request last night and I checked this morning to see it was closed and Roman had just left a link to the "How to write a good plugin/mod/modpack" in the replies without anything else and had closed the thread any one know why? I had followed the tutorial on how to make a request pretty well so idk why it was closed without explanation.
