    Dear developers and staff,

    I want to suggest the addition of a feature that would increase server performance. If server owners could edit the server files and the plugins files(spigot, bukkit, etc) then issues like lag and fps drops could be reduced and in some cases eliminated, not only lag but server performance and customization in general. Server owners would love this feature and it would be very attractive to people that are looking for a free server hosting service like Aternos.


    I know this feature has been denied several times so I would like to ask if theres any plans for adding this feature in the future. I the case that this feature is not going to be implemented could you Mr Developers be so kind to give a reason?

    Plugins are compiled software files and are not meant to be edited.

    You can change configuration files on the files page.

    The big thing is with plugins like worldedit. We can't download our schematics and compile them together to move around and use. Takes out a lot of its functionality.

    But this is something completely different than the request in the first post.


    We already have something on our ideas list for a better support of schematics, but we don't know when we start to work on this.
