how do i enable essentials, im on the latest version of it and dont want to upgrade to essentialsEX

im on the latest version of essentials and dont want to upgrade to essentialsEX cause it doesnt have essentials chat, HOWEVER i get an error and it says in console that the plugin was disabled pls help

It does. You have to install the spigotmc version, not the bukkit one

i was using the spigot 1 i just couldnt use color chat, it doesnt matter tho cause im on spigot 1.8 now
