  • Hello once again.

I want to know if a preset/role should be added in Friend Access, like how the Discord role works. You know, when you are trying to give access to player to start the server, you will need to give the permission manually, so I think that this should be added. Even If this is possible or not, because i think it will be complicated for you guys, but I'd try to suggest it anyway.

So let's say if there's a link or button leads to the role manager, you can add a role, edit the permission inside

An example has been given to demonstrate (these pictures are not real if you ask me):

And then if you want a player specific role, simple select the role (note that if there is no role selected, you can add permission manually as usual, as the Edit button will appear)

So in conclusion, even though if that can be added or not, I'd be greatful if there's an answer. Note that I can only accept any answer from the Aternos Team, not Member or Moderator, sorry, as I'll consider it as the opinion. But anyway thanks for reading.

The reason why role-systems exist is that e.g. on Discord you have many players and many permission settings.

Modifications are a pain as you would need to click through every player and find the permission you want and adjust it.

At Aternos it's a bit different. You don't have many permission settings and not many players you share the access to. This makes the advantage of such a system rather small at Aternos.

  • I thought so before I make a thread about it, ik it is not neccessary to have that feature on such a small hosting. But the real reason why I create is because in some cases, that can be used when there are many players who want to join on a server, just a few clicks and the permissions will be set for the player automatically.

  • What you can do is: Create a username account, give that account access to whatever you need, and give everyone that account's login. Secure and easy

That is not even related to my suggestion at all...

  • Still, unrelated, it's a whole new suggestion, different than anyone else. Please don't change the subject, stick with the suggestion.

  • So someday if the Team can rethink about this, it would be great. For now, I'll consider it as "not possible" or "unneccessary"

Sorry Henery but with my suggestion that's literally possible exactly how they want, just a bit annoyingly. Read other's posts the next time.
Futhermore, stop sort of reactivating long solved threads by commenting on them
