  • Oh yeah, i've encountered this issue before. Basically, when you upload your vanilla world to aternos's paperMC software, the world is converted to 3 diffent folders (world, world-nether, world-the-end). The DIM1 folder from the vanilla world is supposed to be moved to world-the-end folder but instead renamed to DIM-1 and then moved to world-the-end. That is the reason your end dimension got reset. You could fix it by download your world-the-end folder, extract it, delete the DIM1 folder inside it and rename the DIM-1 folder to DIM1. And then reupload it onto Aternos

Im not sure this is an aternos bug or paperMC bug Roman humoodiplayz

  • It's not a bug. It's how bukkit worlds work. https://support.aternos.org/hc…End-into-one-world-folder

I think you misunderstood my reply. According to that link, DIM1 is supposed to be moved into world-the-end, not mistakenly renamed to DIM-1 and then moved to world-the-end. I know thats the way bukkit works, which is why im not sure its an aternos or paper bug. (In case you didnt know the difference, DIM1 contains the end regions and DIM-1 contains the nether)

Where did he say that he uploaded a world? So far it does not look like that your observation is related to this topic.

Our system moves world/DIM1 to world_the_end/DIM1 and world/DIM-1 to world_nether/DIM-1.

If I'm not wrong that's also what you say how it should work, and that's also the same process as described in guide (just the other way around as it's for converting bukkit back to vanilla)

yes, moving world/DIM1 to world_the_end/DIM1 is how it should works, but its not how it works currently on aternos. I just created a new sever to test this: Aternos doesn't move world/DIM1 to world_the_end/DIM1 but instead create a DIM-1 folder inside world-the-end and moves everything in world/DIM1 into it.

The server ip is bobbysayhi.aternos.me, you can download the world-the-end folder and see that there's somehow a DIM-1 folder inside of it.

And my apologise if my english confused you, i was assuming he uploaded a world since that's the exact same issue of mine when i first switch to paper.

Don't create multiple threads for the same topic. Mods/Helpers will move / separate threads if needed.

The problem should be fixed now but it may take some hours until the fix is synced across the network.
