  • Name: The Twilight Forest

    Link: https://www.curseforge.com/min…-mods/the-twilight-forest

Small Description: A mod that adds a dimmension which is an entire magical forest, full of creatures.

    Situation:

So, there is a bug with the config page of the Twilight Forest, in which you can't change the progression rule of the mod.

The progression Rule is a condition in the config in which you have to kill a row of bosses in a certain order, however the problem is. That when I was playing with my friends we realized that the Progression Rule is not meant to be played in a multiplayer mode, because the rule states that whoever killed the boss is able to defeat the next boss, but his friends do not. So that means that me and my friends will never be able to defeat the same boss at the same time.

I even thought it was a bug from the mod itself but when I tried to change the config in a singleplayer world the rule was succesfully canceled... It's unfortunately a bug from the server.

Can you guys please fix it? Sorry for the bother.

    Thank you for reading.

Changed the title of the thread from “Twilight Forest config rule Bug” to “[Mod Request] Twilight Forest config rule Bug”.
  • The way mods work on singleplayer is not the same as on the server, so if the mod works on singleplayer, doesn't mean it will work on multiplayer, and Aternos doesn't change / edit any config file of the mod.

And I don't see the bug, I guess you mean that when you change the config file, the change is not saved?

  • Exactly, the rule doesn't work well on the server.

When I logged in my singleplayer World, with the rule turned off, I was able to play completely fine.

However I tried to change the config in my server and the rule didn't change, it's still activated and I can't

    deactivate it.

Should I try another version of Twilight forest, where maybe the bug doesn't happen?

  • I did save the file when it was closed, even when I open the server, close it again and go check the file, the Rule still remains in false but the rule is still activated. However I have not tried a different browser, should I try to change the rule in a different browser?

  • It's wierd because, when I tried it in a singleplayer world deactivating the rule, worked just fine however in the server it didn't work, not only for my friends but for me as well...

I will try to simply install a previous version of the mod, maybe the config will work well there...

Thank you for your time and for answering.

  • Final Update:

The configuration is not working for me, I don't know if I have to change anything else, but I even tried in a previous version of the mod and it remains the same...
