We only allow up to 10 players because we can't grant everyone to start his server with more slots.

Aternos is a free hoster project for private uses. I don't beleave you will play in a private group with 40 people xD.

Aternos is made for free and private,as it's private , you only have the limit of 10 players,cause it's only for "playing with friends" on a easy server interface,there's no need to be a expert to install a plugin or start the server,so , you cant host a public server with Aternos (also,with a plugin limit it's impossible), so you cant, host a public server, that's why we have a limit of players (We = Aternos)
