  • Hello there,

I recently generated a 1.16.5 world with Paper/Bukkit software and installed Essentials and Timber plugin. As far as the Essentials plugin goes, it all runs fine, but when i cross over to what the Timber plugin should be doing, it's not working that well, all due to a permission. Basically, as i'm the only OP in the server, i can chop down trees like Timber should allow me to, but my friends can't do the same because they don't have OP. Supposedly this has something to do with "timber.trigger" permission listed in the "timber.jar" file (i think), a file that i can't access and/or edit.

Now i know that .jar files on Aternos aren't supposed to be accessible so i came to ask, is there a fix to this issue while keeping the Timber plugin installed on my server or is there another plugin that provides the "chopping the whole tree by breaking the block at the bottom" behavior that will avoid this issue?

    Hope my question is understandable.

    Awaiting feedback,

    Clay

  • You can fix it like this:

    Get LuckPerms or PowerRanks.

If you're using LuckPerms, enter this command:

/lp group default permission set timber.trigger true

If you're using PowerRanks, enter these commands:

    /pr createrank default

    /pr addperm default timber.trigger

    More info:

    Svenar | PowerRanks

    LuckPerms
LuckPerms allows server admins to control what features players can use by creating groups and assigning permissions.
    luckperms.net

  • I tried the command for LuckPerms plugin and it didn't solve the issue.

Do i then need to create a group to insert my friends in and give this permission from LuckPerms to that certain group?

    Thanks in advance,

    Clay

  • In LuckPerms, by default it puts everyone in that group.

If it's not working then try this:

/lp user (your friend's username) permission set timber.trigger true

Do that for all of your friend's usernames.

  • In LuckPerms, by default it puts everyone in that group.

If it's not working then try this:

/lp user (your friend's username) permission set timber.trigger true

Do that for all of your friend's usernames.

    That command still didn't work.

Also, regarding the Essentials plugin, they also can't use /sethome and other 'regular' commands.

    Awaiting your feedback.
