I'm testing some mods for my server to see if it works, but sadly it isn't in the aternos mod tab, is there any way to install mods manually? And if there isn't, could there be the chance of the option of manually install mods being added?

You can only install mods using the mods page.
Uploading files and FTP accessUnfortunately, Aternos doesn't offer access via FTP or the ability to upload custom mods/plugins. There are many reasons for this decision but it's mainly for…support.aternos.org -
