Modded server update

So me and my friends play on an SMP server with many many mods on 1.16.5 forge. But we want to update it to 1.17 and keep all the mods and data. we built many things like roads, military bases and even house furniture and doors with the mods and i would like to ask if we keep all the mod data when i update and how i can see if there are versions of the mods for 1.17. Please help soon
