Well, the title says it all.
Even if someone were to ask a plugin developer to link their plugin directly on spigot, it is likely they will deny that request.
So why can't Aternos download plugins from external sites like MCmmo, LibsDisguises, and ProtocolLib?
Why can aternos not download plugins that are from external sites?

We automatically Download the newest Version of a plugin from Bukkit or spigot. This script only works for these sites and only if the Plugins are available directly for download there. It would be too much work to extend this script to work with every single other Plugin website
