My player data folder causes a disconnection in my server

I and another player were playing in a server with any problem for a week and then, both got disconnected at the same time, and not only this, but also the server shut down automatically, at the time the other player enters again there's no problem, the problem comes when I get into the server, disconnect both of us, and again it shut down automatically, the solution was to delete the player data for my account in the server world and the problem is... moderately 'solved' because I lost all the stuff that I had At that moment, but I don't know what can cause this or how to avoid this situation to happen again.

In that case, it's not possible to recover somehow the things I had?, I mean, the only solution possible is removing it all?
