We can only add plugins that are available for free.

If your server closes as soon as you join it probably your player file is corrupted. Download your world, remove your player file in the players directory and upload the world again. Then you should be able to join your server again.
Your server should not stop when closing the tab. Your server stays online as long as at least one player is online too.

It's not possible to upload plugins.
Mind that the original Essentials only works up to Minecraft version 1.7.10. As the Essentials version on hub.spigotmc.org can't be added to Aternos you have to use alternatives such as EssentialsX or Bssentials.
For Group Manager to show prefixes, make sure you have EssentialsChat installed and prefixes set up.

If you checked the server console log you would have find out that there is a problem with your world. Download your world, delete the players directory and then upload your world again. Eventually, your server should be able to start again.

Did you try it using a new world? If it doesn't even work using a new world the mod pack might has to be adjusted. @Roman

In this case you should search for a different server hosting service where you can upload your own mod pack. But I can tell you it will most likely be a paid service.
