I'm just trying to make a server in 1.16.5 so I can play on a map with some of my friends and it keeps updating to 1.19
Does anyone know how to stop this? I was really hoping to play the map for a stream so I need to get it fixed and soon

why did it automatically change the version to 1.17.1
check this one out -
I've tried it multiple times now and it just keeps doing it
One second I've changed it back to 1.16.5 and then go put the map back in the the files the next I'm about to turn on the server and I see the image above, this is getting beyond infuriating at this point -
um ok maybe try this. Change your server software to spigot then select the version as 1.16.5
Because i dont think spigot servers are automatically upgraded

Restoring a backup from the backups section also restores the software and version installed on your server
