It said "This mod was only made for the Minecraft client and not for servers"

Could you explain what that means,since i saw this mod being used on some multiplayer servers.

It seems like some of the features of the mod are server-sided,like blood splatters and such.

The creator of the mod said that the mod also has to be installed on the server's side in order for it to fully work.
