When i start my server everthing is fine until i get on it i cant break a block or do commands it stinks what happend it hust to be ok please fix it

Please check the server console log for more detailed error information. Make sure you're outside the spawn protection and have got permissions to run commands.

If it says that, you installed the wrong version. The original Essentials plugin only works up to Minecraft version 1.7.10.
