Internal Exception: io.netty.handler.codec.DecoderException: java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundsException: readerIndex(1) + length(8) exceeds writerIndex(5): FooledUnsafeDirectByteBuf(ridx: 1, widx: 5, cap: 5)

    Everytime I try to join my server, this error just appears for no apparent reason (that I know of):

    Internal Exception: io.netty.handler.codec.DecoderException: java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundsException: readerIndex(1) + length(8) exceeds writerIndex(5): FooledUnsafeDirectByteBuf(ridx: 1, widx: 5, cap: 5)


    I have never experienced this error previously and it just started appearing today. Are there any fixes to this?

    Software: PaperMC

    Version: 1.19.4

    Update: I just rejoined on the regular Minecraft launcher and now it just says...

    Disconnected


    That was literally all it said. Any fixes?

    Try the dyn ip and are you the only one facing the issue on the server?

    The DynIP shows the same error:
