Updating from Vanilla to Snapshots

    I wanted to update me and my friends world (vanilla 1.19.4) to the latest April fools snapshot (23w13a_or_b) so we could have some fun and play around in our world. After downloading the 1.19.4 world, updating the server to use 23w13a_or_b, and uploading the 1.19.3 world to be used, it will not start the server quoting "This world was created by an incompatible version."...

    how can I play the new snapshot without having t create a new world entirely? Why is there a problem updating the world from 1.19.4 to the latest snapshot? How can I fix this to play on my world with the fun features that the 2023 April fools update brings?

    You need to create a new world to play the snapshot. The snapshot probably has different world gen and many other stuff
