Sever Overload on Ticks please help

  • So whenever I play on my server we always get behind on ticks and this cause major lag. This happens really often. We play everyday and the numbers increase throughout the day till eventually the server just crashes. Please help!

  • 1.13+ is still pretty new and has a completely new world format to enable the new water changes. Unfortunately, this new world format isn't really optimized yet and causes lots of performance problems. We've already increased the resources (RAM + CPU) for 1.13 servers, but there are still performance problems that cannot be solved with more resources. We highly recommend keeping playing on 1.12.2 until a better version gets released with performance fixes. However, switching back from 1.13 to 1.12.2 may cause problems, you might have to generate a new world. Please make sure that you have backups of your world if you switch back.
