Server kicks me for various reasons

    I can't even play for two minutes without getting kicked for either being timed out, disconnected, or 'forcibly removed by host.' It doesn't seem to matter what I do, it always kicks me after a short period of time.


    edit: im playing vanilla 1.13.2 and it turns out it doesn't kick me as long as I'm constantly breaking blocks. also, the server is generally running multiple seconds behind, at one point it got 15 seconds behind.


    edit 2: now it's not even listening to commands. I turned off automatic saves to hopefully cut down on the lag, but about 30 seconds after i sent the command, it autosaved. I tried to turn it off again, but the console said it was already turned off. I think I'm just gonna find another host.

    1.13+ is still pretty new and has a completely new world format to enable the new water changes. Unfortunately, this new world format isn't really optimized yet and causes lots of performance problems. We've already increased the resources (RAM + CPU) for 1.13 servers, but there are still performance problems that cannot be solved with more resources. We highly recommend keeping playing on 1.12.2 until a better version gets released with performance fixes. However, switching back from 1.13 to 1.12.2 may cause problems, you might have to generate a new world. Please make sure that you have backups of your world if you switch back.
