Nether and Overworld glitch

Traveling between dimensions are broken. When I set myself as creative using /gamemode, and I enter the portal, my gamemode becomes survival (The server's default gamemode is survival). This works both ways, nether to overworld and overworld to nether.

When I am in survival and I travel to the nether, all my items disappear, but my levels retain. Again, also works both ways.

This is a major problem me and my friends have been facing, because we are planning to use the nether as a method of far travel. Are there any fixes for this? Have I missed an option I needed?

Are you using plugins? If so, please give me a list.

There is a something called DefaultGamemode (which is set on your options page)

So when you travel in other worlds its set to default not with the /gamemode, or maybe if you have multiverse core maybe thr world options set to survival

And with the items disappear one maybe a plugin do this
