Everyone (including me) is lagging on my server

    I started an Aternos server and everyone (including myself) that gets on lags, in the player list we have 1 bar. I have no idea what's causing this.

    i think you are 1.13+ so:

    1.13+ has a completely new world format to enable the new water changes. Unfortunately, this new world format isn't really optimized yet and causes lots of performance problems. We've already increased the resources (RAM + CPU) for Vanilla 1.13 servers, but there are still performance problems that cannot be solved with more resources. We highly recommend using PaperMC instead of Vanilla (https://aternos.org/software/v/papermc/1.13.2). It has much better performance and you can even install plugins (if you want).
