  • Having a little problem, when downloading my world save it gives a different save file instead of the current save. Basically, the save file that is given when downloaded doesn't match the world the server is running on. Would there be any way to get the current world on the server downloaded? I've tried a couple times to no avail.

Edit: everything about the world download is actually up to date (region files and all), but I believe the player.dat file is of a previous version, as it doesn't match with the world running in the server.

Also, massive thanks to aternos, this site has been incredibly easy to use! ^^

You have to find out your server uuid. You can see it in the console when you join your server.

Then you need to switch into the playerdata folder and rename the file with the server uuid with the uuid used on the client.

I would recommend you to just cheat the items using /give or creative mode

  • I'm playing on the same account on the local client and the server, just matched the uuids and all. Tried restoring a backup and doing the same thing, but the problem still persists. Ended up just starting up the server, putting everything in a chest, and then clearing the different inventory once on my local client.

If you have a different inventory on the client and on the server you the uuids on the client and on the server are different.

So I assume your problem is solved?

  • I have exactly the same problem. I uploaded a world to the server, let's say, A. Then I played the world; when I shut down the server, I can see the world and player data has been saved, according to logs. Let's say the status is B.

When I played next time on server, it will start at B status. However, when I download the world and play on client, the world is in B status whereas the player data in A status.

I've check the UUID, it's the same. I do not turn on cheat version. So the only way I can reach the current status is to put all of my items in an inventory so it would be saved in the world, rather than player data.

However, it's quite troublesome. I'm still finding ways to solve it. It seems there's a backup UUID.dat on the server side and the download world function would download this one.

Thats not true. The singleplayer playerdata is saved in a diffrent location the the multiplayer one. If you run the world on a server it copies it to the normal playerdata folder and then only edits the new one, while singleplayer only loads the old one on the diffrent part of the world files.

This is nothing that Aternos does but rather something Mojang did.
