Lost entire day of progress. (5 hours)

Today I spent over 5 hours building on a map I have been working on with my friend. This is a big creative build so tons of progress was lost for no apparent reason. All progress was backtracked including plugins I added during this time. Someone please help me. Is there any chance of getting my progress back?

If you have backups, then you can use those ( unless they where also backtracked ).

I have not set backups up yet as i only uploaded my world from my saves recently

And the plugins, well. I guess those must be added back manually

I've excepted the progress is lost but i'm still figuring out how to avoid it. The two possible reasons I have come up with outside of it just being a server error are, the plugin that got deleted was a 1.12 version of voxelsniper which the internet told me would work on 1.14. I never used it though. The other possibility is that I was worldediting around 120000 blocks each time while making mountains. Could these have caused the error so I can avoid more progress being lost?

Worldediting 120000 blocks at once has a good chance to crash your server, which might sometimes remove some progress you made as well.

I just lost another day of progress and there was no world editing of builds larger than 5000-10000 blocks. 2 times in 3 days have I lost A huge amount of progress and no one has a solution for me. I made regular backups since the last incident but when I load them they are always of the old version of the world.
