So I used to play on 1.14.4 with optifine but I just switched to 1.15 only to find out that optifine for 1.15 hasn’t come out yet. Which means I’m not able to play because of the insane lag that I have without using optifine. Is there a way that I can switch back to 1.14.4 without having to permanently delete my world?

Try to back up and download your world before switching. I can't guarantee that this will work though

We know from other users that worlds used in 1.15 once do not work on 1.14
You can try to recover a backup on the backups page.
