  • Hello aternos team. I have a humble suggestion for you. Allow players to download files and folders. This would make it much easier for players who wish to have different access to their files.

I am not suggesting to enable FTP.

This logically does not include files like Server.properties and maybe JAR files.

More if you can release the FTP would appreciate: D haha

    Still no.

In regards to your actual suggestion, this depends on what files/folders. However most folders, files or whatever which you didn't create, and aren't downloadable yet, are probably not allowed to be downloaded due to legal reasons ( E.G. plugins, mods)

I'm just posting to post (and i could even be wrong lol), but if Aternos only uses public plugins/mods, I don't see any reason why they couldnt be downloaded. Other server hosts let you have full ftp access and download files.

  • 1. As far as I know there's no way to enable that due to copyright reasons.

    2. As you mentioned already, Aternos doesn't offer FTP, so the ability to download your files would generate a lot of complaints of the kind "what's the point of downloading my files if I can't upload what I modified", and yes, as that might be useful for people who want to switch to host to their own, the first reason (or maybe even more out of my knowledge) applies.

  • Once again, legal reasons.

Irregardless of plugins and stuff being public, we could still get in trouble if we allowed this.

I'm sure Roman or someone else could give a better explanation on this if needed.
