[Help] EssentialsX Colors not working?

Hello!

I've had an Aternos server for a while. I recently updated to 1.16.1 from 1.15, and after making sure everything was situated, found that the server members can't type in colored chat.

That's the problem in question.

Everyone's able to set their nicknames to what they want with colors, it's just the general chat isn't working.

TL;DR: I want all players to be able to use all the color codes in the general chat. In the past, I haven't had to mess with permissions for this, and everyone's already an OP member.

Any help would be appreciated!

Not sure what paragraph signs are- to color signs we just use dye like in Vanilla Minecraft.

Two problems with using §- it's not a symbol that you can just type on your keyboard, nor is it a symbol you can type in the Minecraft chat. itself.

Also no I didn't install a permissions system because I haven't needed one in the past for the colored chat to be able to work. Did 1.16 make it so I need one?

I type that and it doesn't work, alt code doesn't work, I even tried to copy/paste into Minecraft's chat and it just would not show up. I've never been able to type that symbol in the default chat.
