Do Player İnventories Reset When Generating A New World

I wanna know if it happens or not because me and my friend want to generate a new world hence we added new mods to our server and some mods require new ores and structures to be generated.

Is there a way to keep the playerdata?

Oh i think i might've got the idea, i will get the original world, generate the new world and also download that one too, then put the playerdata on the new world and reupload the world back in, so we will still have our items while still having to start from a new map
