    Did you summon a ghast with ghast spawn egg? Or with command?

    I drag one from the nether to the portal but it disappears in the overworld so I tried to use command and it disappears after it has been summoned in the overworld. Other mobs from the nether appears at the overworld only ghast disappears.

    If a ghast is too far away from the current renderdistance, it will usually disappear until you get close to it.

    So make sure to make a big room around the portal before doing so.
