I can join any Java server except for Aternos. I was playing on a friend's server a week ago, but then I couldn't connect anymore. I play on 1.16.5, the paid-for version.
I can join any Minecraft server but Aternos.

What error do you get when you try to join?
What do you mean, "the paid-for version"?

The error I get in the server list is "Can't connect to server". Sometimes it will also say "Cannot resolve hostname".
What I mean by the "paid-for version", is that I'm not on Tlauncher or the cracked version of Minecraft. -
Does it work with the DynIP?

Does it work with the DynIP?
I'm not the owner of the server but I will ask them for the DynIP.

Does it work with the DynIP?
It said it was offline but when they opened the server, it showed as "Cannot Connect to server", and it gave an io.netty error when I tried joining. How does my friend find the DynIP? It only shows the port for them. The IP is notNormalSmphelpPlz.aternos.me

I tried making my own server, and it appears that all the Aternos servers say offline when they are offline, but when they are turned on, it just says cannot connect to server.
-
To get the dynip, the server has to be online as it changes on every start

The DynIP works, thank you!

I have the same problem, whenever I try to join an Aternos server it will show "can't connect to server" and I get this error: "io.io.netty.channel.abstractchannel$annotatedconnectexception: connection timed: out no further information". Dynip works fine but it's really annoing to wait every time the server owner shares the addres to you. Does anyone know how to fix this?

The server has nothing to do with that error.

What launcher do you use?
I use Minecraft original launcher. I've already tried to change my dns to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 but it doesn't work. Also tried to ipconfig/ flushdns in command prompt.
