Friend Unable to join server

    i created a server and was able to join, but my friend wasnt able to join however he was able to join other servers like mineplex. he even created his own server but still he wasnt able to join. it wouldnt even show on the ping status thing , it just wouldnt show that it was online, but for other servers it would show online. help me find a solution please .thanks
