  • I have been playing Minecraft on my server for a few days, and the past month I encountered a bug with the overworld, every time I try to aces to a certain chunk disconnects the player showing this message: "Internal exceptionio.netty.handler.codec.decoderexceptionjava.lang.nullpointerexception".

    This is my log: https://mclo.gs/UbON1D8

As you can see in line 1798, that happens when a player connects to the server, I download the world to my single-player, and doesn't seem there's an error and I can load the terrain without a problem, the only way to escape this error is using /tp to get out the player of that zone while connecting, I don't know a possible solution or what is causing it, I'm still able to play in other dimensions or staying away of the problematic chunks

    Thank you very much! :aternos:

  • I don't know how to fix it. But The error is caused by an overloaded chunk. It's how old school duping methods work, they still work to this day.

It's weird because on the server nor my friend or I construct something on that chunk, hmm maybe some mod is doing something weird with cave world gen, anyways thank you for replying.
