If there's already a forum for my exact issue, I apologize; I haven't been able to find one myself despite searching.
So, I've been playing a lot of fabric with my friends, and we made a somewhat sizable modpack for an Aternos server. We downloaded betternether among several other mods, though betternether was the only nether affecting mod, as it changes a ton of the biomes and even new/modified structures. We also were using Origins and a few Origins datapacks, but the only important thing about any of that is that one of those origins allowed my friend to teleport to the End and back at will. When we played for a bit in the nether, we realized we didn't like having betternether, and so I searched for an Aternos forum explaining how to clear the nether. I found this forum, and since Fabric and Forge are fairly similar, the DIM1/DIM-1 folders were there, and it's a modded client like forge and magma, I shut the server off and deleted the DIM-1 folder as the site said. I didn't download a backup of my world prior, which was completely my fault; I have a backup, but only after deleting the DIM-1.
I left for a while and my friends played without me, and when I came back, they told me that the End and Nether alike didn't work, even though the End dimension's folder is still there and has all the subfolders within it (data, entities, poi, region). The Nether portal simply shows the swirl screen but never teleports you to the Nether, and End portals don't actually light at all. Both are enabled in options. My friend with the End teleporting origin can't teleport to the End either -- it does particles indicating the input happened, but he stays completely in place. I'm not sure how to fix it, if I'm able to at all, or if I should simply restart the world to fix it. I've tried deleting all the mods and restarting the server on and off a bit, and I've downloaded a backup of the world as I stated prior, but its post-deletion of DIM-1, so I don't know whether it'd work or not. Is there anything I need to do to fix it? All I want is the dimensions to work again, me and my friends have come really far so I don't want to have to delete the entire world, but if needed, I am willing to just delete and restart the world with the same seed and recover the stuff another way. The other dimensions working is my priority.
The server is running Fabric 1.17.1 (0.11.6), with bclib, betterend (0.11.0), bits and chisels (2.5.3), carrier (1.8.0), charm (1.17-3.3.2), fabric api (0.39.2 for 1.17), fabric language kotlin (1.6.4+kotlin.1.5.30), fabric seasons (1.2.2 beta), image2map (0.2.1), origins (1.0.3), pehkui (2.3.0) and fabric waystones (2.0.4). these were all the latest versions of each mod as of 8/27/21, when I downloaded them all, and are all 1.17 / 1.17.1
