Change time before timeout?

I was wondering if it is possible at all to change the time before the server times someone out, not relating to being idle at all as my boyfriend takes awhile to load everything properly in but after that the game works perfectly for him, works perfect on singleplayer but since the time it takes to fully load in is too long for a server it times him out, any solutions?

i am not concerned about the timer, i am able to join pretty quickly to prevent the timer from shutting the server down, i am saying that the server times him out before he can fully load in the world
