Most server hosting providers have File Transfer Protocols for plugins that they don't list or mods or even BukkitForge servers. FTP is really known in MC Server Hosting providers as I believe and will help for the user, or alternative, Allow users to upload and edit with in the webpage itself.

1) The difference between us and many other hosting providers is that we are completely free.
2) The second reason is, that Aternos is a completely dynamic system. That means that in every state your server can be (offline, online, loading etc..) your server is in another physical location in our network. This makes it really complicated to provide FTP access to your server.
3) FTP-Access would allow users to upload anything they want to their server, also files we dont want. I think, i dont need to describe this point more explicit.
4) The main logic behind Aternos is to keep servers which are used online, and stop servers which are not used to grab the resources for another server. By allowing users FTP access some of these mechanics could be undermined. -
