when I try to connect to a friends server i get a message saying "failed to log in: authentication servers are currently not reachable. please try again." I dont know how to fix this and I have tried to log out and log in again. I have restarted my computer, and my wifi connection is secure. Does anyone know how to fix this? I also am playing on a mac, I do not know if that will impact anything.

Maybe try joining the server after sometime

I think the problem is not with minecraft it is with your account or if it is a white listed server they haven't whitelisted you yet
