Server wont start due to a "ticking entity"

Hello! im not great with technology but I care very deeply about this world. I've researched quite a bit and have found multiple options I could pursue, but some are incredibly confusing so I've come here. Options:

1. /fml (not sure how to do this or what it does)

2. /gamerule randomtickspeed <number below 50> (Never works

3. MCedit (kinda confusing but i could probably find a video)

I have saved a back up of this world and have already tried to install and uninstall it to no avail.

EDIT:

I have since posting found out its a mob called a glare and have tried to kill it through the command /kill @e[type:glare] but it didn't work.

How do i download it to single player? If its a matter to do on here i am unable to join the server due to it crashing as soon as i click to join...
