I keep getting kicked out of my friend's RL Craft server with this message: "Internal exception java.io.ioexception: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host." I'm able to spawn and walk around for a few seconds before getting kicked, can't open chests or interact with beds.

Does your modpack version match both server and client side? If it matches then try connecting to the server with "direct connection". If none of the steps work please read and follow the article https://support.aternos.org/hc/en-us/articles/360027235671
