Hi, I've been using Aternos for a couple of weeks now. My friends are constantly coming and going on the server, meaning that I need to keep restarting the server to change the player slots to stop the server from shutting down, this works fine as when you restart the server, it doesn't need to go through the queue process again (which can take around 2 hours to do each time you start a server) now, as i said, this was fine and worked perfectly until today. two times now today I've tried to restart my server and both times the server has instead of restarting, just shutdown. meaning i've had to wait 4 hours now in total to actually start up the server in order to play with my friends again.

Hi ManxFox
normally this shouldn't happen. In most cases the server just crashes while restarting. Please check the logs of your server for any error messages or exceptions and share them with us.
Make sure that you don't have to many worlds and plugins installed on your server.By the way, you don't to restart your server when one of your friends leaves. Since the #AternosUnlimited Update you can set you slots as hight as you want and you also don't need to fill them all.
